The Corojo debuted at the 2016 International Premium Cigar and Pipe Retailers Association (IPCPR) trade show in August, but is now arriving at retailers. It is the first of the Collection that is blended with all Nicaraguan tobacco, and will be available in four vitolas: Robusto (4½" x 50); Toro (5½" x 54); Corona 6" x 46); and Gordo (6" x 60). Just as the others in the Collection, the Corojos are rolled by the Garcia Family at the My Father Cigars factory in Estelí, Nicaragua, distributed by Miami Cigar & Company. Corojo will ship in black-matte boxes of 20 and the MSRP per cigar will range from $7.50 to $9.50.

The blends in the Nestor Miranda Collection are differentiated by neon colors (Habano, green; Maduro, red; and Connecticut, blue) - the Corojo will be branded with neon yellow.

El Artista Ships ‘Big Papi’

El Artista Cigars announced on October 27 that the first boxes of Big Papi by David Ortiz has shipped to retailers this past week, fulfilling their pre-orders from IPCPR 2016.

Big Papi by David Ortiz was blended by Big Papi himself, the now retired Major League Baseball all-star, under the supervision of El Artista Cigars. Ortiz will also attend many public events through the remainder of 2016 and throughout 2017, as the company strongly feels that Ortiz's attendance will be integral to the launch and the brand. The first of many scheduled appearances at retail stores and larger scale consumer events internationally and in the United States is scheduled for November 3 at Cávo Nightclub in New York City. Other events dates are TBD at this time; however, will be published on the El Artista company website.

Big Papi is blended with an Ecuadorian Habano claro wrapper, Criollo '98 binder, and filler tobacco from Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua, and will be available in a single 6" x 54 Toro vitola.
