Not a fan of Candelas at all - but I am a fan of Kentucky fire cured tobacco, so this new Drew Estate release has piqued my interest...
A couple of weeks back, Drew Estate announced that their newest release, Kentucky Fire Cured Swamp Thang and Swamp Rat, had shipped in April. Kentucky Fire Cured Swamp Thang and Swamp Rat were formally introduced at the International Premium Cigar and Pipe Retailers Association (IPCPR) annual trade show in 2016, and soft released at the 2016 Kentucky Barn Smoker event.
Drew Estate has paired the smokiness of Kentucky fire cured tobacco with the sweetness of Candela wrapper, creating a uniquely balanced, complex and savory cigar, particularly for fans of both of these tobaccos. This is the first time Drew Estate has used Candela for any of their cigars in their portfolio.
The release includes three vitolas: Swamp Thang Toro (6" x 52), Swamp Thang Robusto (5" x 54), and Swamp Rat (6" x 46), all available in soft pack 10-count bundles similar to the current Kentucky Fire Cured lines.
