May 23, 2017 (Basel, Switzerland) – AVO Cigars, the globally renowned brand, is proud to announce the fifth installment of the prized AVO Limited Edition Improvisations Series: AVO Improvisation Limited Edition 2017. The AVO limited series, based on unexpected musical and cigar inspirations that create rich, noteworthy experiences for all to celebrate, has progressed in a new direction, creating many firsts with this 2017 release. Inspired by a retro guitar case, the eye-catching AVO Improvisation Limited Edition 2017 packaging holds 16 cigars and features a full black leather exterior with an orange leather interior lid and dual silver clasps.
The AVO Improvisation Limited Edition 2017 is the remarkable result of an improvised collaboration between a trio of previously released AVO cigars: AVO Syncro Nicaragua, AVO Syncro Nicaragua Fogata and the coveted AVO Limited Edition 2005. The blend uses the same variety of Dominican binder and filler tobaccos that were featured in the AVO Limited Edition 2005, blended with the same Estelí Nicaragua filler tobacco used in the AVO Syncro Nicaragua Fogata and presented in the 6" x 60 box-pressed format of the AVO Syncro Nicaragua Special Toro.
“When developing the fifth AVO Improvisation blend, the team of Master Blender wanted to use the foundation of the fifth AVO Limited Edition, the celebrated AVO Limited Edition 2005, to see if it would be possible to craft something extra special. The aim was to blend in the filler tobacco from Estelí with multiple flavor notes. The combination worked so well together that a 60-ring gauge format was the proper way to fully showcase this wonderful arrangement, finished in a flawless box-pressed shape,” explained Charles Awad, Senior Vice President – Chief Marketing Officer at Oettinger Davidoff AG.
This AVO Limited Edition in a box-pressed format comes in a 60-ring gauge and the blend includes seven different tobaccos from three different countries, delivering complex and intense palate stimulation with a perfect balance of thick cream and earthy spice. The filler tobaccos consist of Nicaraguan Estelí Ligero and Dominican Seco and Ligero, encompassed by the Dominican Olor Zona seven binder leaf and tastefully covered with a “Habano” Ecuador Marron Claro wrapper.

Launch and Availability
The AVO Improvisation Limited Edition 2017 with a limited production of 3,650 boxes (16 count), is already available in the USA and will be launched in European and other markets from May 2017 onwards.
