La Flor Dominicana (LFD) announced back on November 8, 2017 on social media that their annual Football Cigar release will be available again for 2018, but only at LFD authorized retailers in Minnesota since this NFL football season's Super Bowl will be played in the US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis on Sunday, February 4.
The LFD Football Edition 2018 will have the same blend as the 2017 edition: an Ecuadoran Habano wrapper, Dominican binder and filler tobacco, and Connecticut shade tobacco used in the cigar’s cap and the strip along the bottom of the cigar. It will be available once again in one vitola, 6½" x 60. Only 450 boxes of this limited edition special have been produced and will come in boxes of 10; each cigar retailing for $16.
